Article Sexual Harassment Offences under IPC The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 takes care of only few areas such as unwelcome physical contact and advances, including unwanted and explicit sexual overtures, a demand or request for sexual favours, showing someone sexual images (pornography) without their consent, and making unwelcome sexual remarks. As per section 28, the provisions of this Act are in addition to and not in derogation of the provisions of any other law for the time being in force. Article Sexual Harassment Offences under Information Technology Act   Some of the sexual harassment cases committed through computer technology stand covered under the Information Technology Act, as amended from time to time. Some amendments were made to the Act in 2008, while section 66A of the Act was struck down by the Supreme Court of India. Article Interim Relief to the Women Victim s   The State Legal Services Authority or District Legal Services Authority, as the case may be, may order for immediate first-aid facility or medical benefits to be made available free of cost or any other interim relief (including interim monetary compensation) as deemed appropriate, to alleviate the suffering of the victim on the certificate of a police officer, not below the rank of the officer-in-charge of the police station, or a Magistrate of the area concerned or on the application of the victim/ dependents or suo moto.   As soon as the application for compensation is received by the SLSA/DLSA, a sum of rupees five thousand or as the case warrants up to   rupees ten thousand shall be immediately disbursed to the victim through preloaded cash card from a Nationalised Bank by the Secretary, DLSA or Member Secretary, SLSA.
